Care Instructions
Keep your pieces looking the way they arrived
Custom printing lasts a long time when it's cared for properly. Here's what we recommend for
each kind of piece we make.
Canvas tote bags
Spot clean or gently hand wash in cold water, air dry, do not iron directly over the design.
If the design needs pressing, turn the tote inside out or place a thin cloth between the
iron and the print, and use a low setting. Avoid bleach and avoid tumble drying — heat is
what shortens the life of a print.
Apparel — T-shirts, hoodies, and fleece pullovers
- Wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle.
- Wash with like colors and similar fabrics — no heavy zippers or denim.
- Use a mild detergent. No bleach, no fabric softener, no stain remover directly on the design.
- Tumble dry low or hang to dry. High heat is the single fastest way to crack a print.
- Iron inside out on low, or place a cloth over the design. Never iron directly on the print.
- Skip the dry cleaner unless a garment's own label calls for it.
Wait at least 24 hours after your item arrives before its first wash — it lets the print
finish curing fully.
Stickers and decals
Our vinyl stickers are laminated, waterproof, UV-resistant, fade-proof, scratch-proof, and
dishwasher-safe. Apply to a clean, dry, smooth surface and press firmly from the center
outward to avoid air bubbles.
On drinkware, hand washing will always outlast the dishwasher. Avoid abrasive scrubbers and
harsh solvents on the printed side.
Drinkware
Hand wash in warm water with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking, abrasive pads, and
the dishwasher's top-heat drying cycle — all three shorten the life of a printed or applied
design. Not microwave-safe unless the item's own label says otherwise.
Mouse pads and home goods
Spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let air dry completely before
use. Don't submerge, machine wash, or use solvent-based cleaners on printed surfaces.
Cardstock and paper goods
Store flat, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Handle printed cardstock by the edges —
oils from hands can mark a matte finish over time. If you're mailing them, a rigid mailer
keeps the corners sharp.
